At AI Foo, we take your privacy seriously. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding your data. We've written this in plain language because we believe you deserve to understand what's happening with your information.
What Data We Collect
Assessment Responses
When you complete our AI capability assessment, we store your answers in our database. This includes your responses to all questions, which we use to generate your personalized report and belt-level assessment.
Email Address
If you provide your email address, we store it to support your AI Foo experience, including linking your assessment to you, sending a report or report-access email you requested, and following through on prelaunch/full-access requests tied to that assessment. We do not use your email for unrelated marketing unless you explicitly opt in.
Payment Information
If and when AI Foo enables paid purchases, payment information is expected to be processed by a third-party payment processor such as Stripe. We do not intend to store your full credit card details on our servers. Any payment processor will handle payment data under its own security standards and privacy policy.
IP Address
We collect and store IP address information as part of assessment/session handling, rate limiting, and abuse prevention. At the moment, this data may remain associated with assessment records until those records are deleted or operational retention practices are updated.
Usage Analytics
We do not currently run a third-party web analytics script on the public site. We may review limited server or application logs for operational insight, abuse prevention, and product improvement, and we may add privacy-respecting analytics later.
How We Use Your Data
- Generate personalized reports: Your assessment answers are processed to create your customized AI capability profile, belt level, and recommendations.
- Deliver or unlock report access: If you provide an email address, we use it to send or prepare access to your results, reports, or requested prelaunch/full-access follow-up.
- Improve our assessment: We analyze aggregate response patterns to improve question accuracy and recommendation relevance.
- Prevent abuse: Rate limiting based on IP addresses helps us maintain service quality and prevent spam or attacks.
Third-Party Services
We work with carefully selected third-party services to operate AI Foo. Here's who they are and what data they handle:
- Payment processors (for example, Stripe): If paid purchases are enabled, they process payment details under their own terms and policies.
- AI model providers: We use third-party AI services to generate personalized report content from your assessment responses. The specific provider may change over time based on runtime configuration.
- Email/SMTP infrastructure: When we send a report or report-access email, your email address passes through our configured mail delivery infrastructure.

- Correction: If any information we have is inaccurate, you can request corrections.

Cookies
AI Foo uses minimal cookies:
- CSRF token: Required for security when you submit forms on our site. This protects against cross-site request forgery attacks.
- Session cookie: We use session state to keep assessment progress, access continuity, and related flow state working, including for anonymous assessments.
We do not use tracking cookies, advertising cookies, or third-party cookies for profiling or marketing purposes.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make significant changes, we'll notify you by posting the new policy on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Your continued use of AI Foo after any changes indicates your acceptance of the updated policy.
